How
to get your carseat or booster seat checked
What is a child passenger safety technician?
Our certified child passenger safety technicians participated in
an intensive standardized four day training. To become certified
they had to pass several hands on evaluations as well as a written
exam. For more information on certified child passenger safety
technicians visit this link.
How do I schedule an appointment to
get my child’s
car seat or booster checked?
Call one of the technicians listed below to schedule a time to
meet at their agency. If they are unable to meet with you, they
will refer you to one of the other technicians in their area.
Do you have free car seats?
No. However, we do have a low cost car seat program. To qualify,
you must have a referral from either your doctor or other social
service agency. You will not receive a Safe Kids Grant County
car seat if you qualify for a free car seat through your health
insurance.
Can I become a child passenger safety technician?
Absolutely! Contact Safe Kids Grant County at
509-766-7960 x24 for more information.
