Getting Information on Health Issues

The Grant County Health District is a source of health and health-related information. Release of public information is covered in our disclosure policy. Individuals and agencies wishing specific information can contact the Assessment Coordinator in Moses Lake at 509-766-7960 ext. 21. In addition, you may retrieve information yourself from web-based resources. Rather than try to put information from a variety of web sites, we have chosen to link the reader to these sources of information. By so doing we are assured you will have access to the most up to date information. These links include generally important public health sites, and each page may have more specific sites relevant to the content of that page.

 

Reporting a public health event

To contact or provide a report to the Grant County Health District in the event of a suspected public health event, such as:

  • communicable disease outbreaks
  • environmental health risks
  • natural disasters
  • other events that threaten the health of people.

Call 509-754-6060, or 509-766-7960. After hours call 509-762-1160.

Healthcare providers, labs, hospitals and Veterinarians, please call 509-398-2083 after hours for required reporting of notifiable conditions. You can use this link to access Department of Health's website on notifiable conditions.

2008 Assessment Report

The 2008 Biennial Health Assessment contains information about the general health status of Grant County through the use of data and research. The report identifies how Grant County compares to the rest of Washington State and in general on a variety of issues. See the table of contents in the first few pages of the report to help you locate information on specific health indicators. You may contact the assessment coordinator at 509-766-7960 ext. 21 for further information about public health assessment or for requests related to health data and statistics.
