Safe Kids Grant County
The Safe Kids Grant County coalition is dedicated to keeping children and families safe. Our mission is to significantly reduce accidental injuries and fatalities among children ages 0-14.
We provide safety tips and resources to help families spot dangers and stay aware of safety issues. The coalition also holds events with local organizations to give families the tools they need to keep their children safe.
We focus on keeping all kids safe at home and during sleep, play, and travel, which includes:
- Car Seat Safety – Teaching the correct use of car seats and seat belts.
- Helmet Safety – Encouraging helmet use during biking and sports to prevent head injuries.
- Safe Sleep – Sharing tips to create safe sleep spaces and reduce infant sleep-related risks.
- Poison Prevention – Helping families prevent accidental poisonings with simple steps.
- Safe Firearm Storage – Supporting secure storage practices to keep kids safe.
- Water Safety – Highlighting supervision and swim safety to prevent drowning.
